Technology is part of modern childhood.
From educational apps to streaming shows to staying connected with friends, screens aren’t going anywhere. For many families, they’re a normal — and sometimes necessary — part of daily life.
At the same time, many parents find themselves wondering:
How much is too much?
Where does most screen time actually happen?
And how does it influence creativity, independence, and play?
As both a designer and a father of three, I’ve become increasingly curious about how children are spending their time at home — and whether their environment plays a role in those habits.
That curiosity led to a simple idea:
Ask parents.
A Short Survey for Columbus Parents
We’re currently gathering anonymous insights from local families about their children’s screen habits and how they spend time at home.
The survey takes less than two minutes and is completely anonymous.
Once responses are collected, I’ll share a summary of the findings.
If you’re interested in participating, you can access the survey below.
